Todd P’Pool is an American entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio of business interests in the energy, financial, and industrial sectors. He has served as the Founder and Chairman of the Board for Star Industrial Services since 2015. In this role, he is focused on setting the strategy and policies of the company and developing leadership. He has positioned Star to work with industry leaders like Toyota, Exxon, Century Aluminum, Carhartt, and Columbia to meet their workforce demands.
Prior to founding Star, from 2012 to 2017, he was a Partner and General Counsel for Star Mine Services, a contract coal mining company with a five-state footprint that worked with Alliance Coal and Peabody Coal, among other industry leaders. Todd is also a licensed attorney with more than twenty (20) years of experience in the credit industry where he represents lenders in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee.
His public service includes two terms on the Federal Advisory Committee for Juvenile Justice wherein he advised both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama, and campaign advisory roles with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky.
He holds both a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Juris Doctorate law degree from the University of Kentucky. Todd is an Eagle Scout, an instrument-rated licensed pilot, and he enjoys hunting, fishing and playing the guitar. He has three daughters, Morgan, Katie and Mollie.
