Rod Jandt joined Star Industrial Services as Chief Executive Officer in June 2016 to lead the company into its next phase of growth.
He is a 15-year veteran of LEAN operations where he held the leadership roles of Vice President and Executive Director since 2006. Rod is a graduate of DePaul University where he earned a degree in Business Commerce followed by a Masters of Divinity from the Chicago Theological Seminary. He began his career as an Account Executive with IBM selling Master Data Management tools, supporting global identification thru linking and synchronization of customer information. Rod works from a servanthood leadership model powered by our people - who shape and refine efficient process and technology creating strong competitive advantages. As Executive Director of Operations for MS Companies, Rod is especially humbled of the culture that he helped develop at MS which was also named in 2014 IBJ Magazine “Fast 25” an annual ranking of privately held companies that have generated the fastest growth.
A people first-focused culture is one of the many reasons that he chose to join Star Industrial Services.
In addition to bridging the skills gap for light industrial manufacturing, Rod’s true passion rests as Vice-Chairman for the non-profit Star Institute workforce training academy in Birmingham, Alabama. Creating new opportunity and developing certifiable skillsets thru our Alabama “pathway & partnership” programs.
Rod serves as a 26 year member for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and is a certified Train-The-Trainer public speaker for Jack Canfield, author of Chicken Soup For The Soul. He and his wife, Debbie, have a son named Lucas. In his free time, Rod enjoys playing golf with his wife & son and attending to the ever changing landscape needs at his new home in Nashville, TN.
